Jewellery care and prevention of tarnish
To care for your jewellery and to prevent tarnishing:
- Remove jewellery when washing hands and showering, do not submerge them in water.
- When getting ready, put jewellery on as your last piece (after washing hands, make-up, perfume, oils, skincare, haircare, etc.)
- Tarnish can be caused by air and skin exposure, so keep item in an air-tight packaging when not in use.
- Keep jewellery dry and clean with a soft cloth after wearing to remove sweat, personal care products, pollutants on the surface, etc.
- Gold/Silver and other plated jewellery have been top coated, so you need to prevent rubbing these items with other jewellery, avoid hitting them on hard surfaces and pat them dry instead of rubbing them especially when cleaning.
- Do not overstretch elastic jewellery and try to avoid perfume, skincare, soap, etc as these can cause elastic to deteriorate over time.
- Do not pull, fiddle, twist, etc as this will damage the jewellery.
