Lapis Lazuli is a metamorphic rock composed mainly of the blue mineral Lazurite, combined with Calcite (white streaking) and Pyrite (golden flecks). Its characteristic deep azure colour is highly prized and has been used since antiquity by royalty for burial ornaments and pigments. The presence of the golden Pyrite flecks gives it a characteristic, often waxy lustre. It is easily polished and has been continuously used for thousands of years in fine carvings, beads, and jewellery.

Lapis Lazuli is known as the "Stone of Wisdom and Truth." It is one of the oldest spiritual stones, used to stimulate wisdom, good judgement, and inner truth. It stimulates the Third Eye and Throat Chakras, promoting intellectual clarity, enhancing memory, and encouraging honest, effective communication. It provides powerful protection, quickly releasing stress and bringing deep peace and serenity. It is a stone of friendship and loyalty.
