Pyrite is an iron sulphide mineral. It is famous for its bright, metallic, pale brass-yellow colour and high metallic lustre, which gives it the appearance of gold, hence its common nickname, "Fool's Gold." It often forms in unique cubic or octahedral crystal structures. Pyrite is opaque, brittle, and is a strong conductor of energy. Due to its striking, industrial aesthetic, it is widely used for collector specimens and is often cut into striking beads and ornamental pieces for jewellery.

Pyrite is known as the "Stone of Manifestation, Protection, and Intellect." It is a powerful shield, reflecting negative energy and psychic attack back to the sender. It inspires creativity, enhances willpower, and promotes strong leadership qualities, helping the user to overcome fatigue, inertia, and fear. Pyrite is exceptionally effective for attracting financial abundance, encouraging good fortune, and stimulating the intellect and memory, helping one to organise and structure thoughts for practical success.

Hardness: 6 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale (it is brittle and should not be cleansed in water as it contains iron).

Chakra: Primarily the Solar Plexus Chakra (for willpower, confidence, and manifestation).

Zodiac Sign: Leo, Aries, and Capricorn.

Benefits: Attracts wealth, prosperity, and financial abundance, provides a powerful protective shield against negative energy, enhances willpower, confidence, and leadership, boosts intellect, memory, and logical thinking, and promotes creativity and positive action.
