Agate is a common rock formation, a variety of chalcedony and quartz, known for its incredible range of colours and complex, sometimes translucent, banding. These bands form in concentric layers, creating eye-like markings, shell patterns, or fortifications, depending on the variety (like Blue Lace Agate, Moss Agate, or Fire Agate). It's typically opaque to translucent, featuring shades of grey, blue, white, pink, red, black, and sometimes green or yellow.

Agate is considered a grounding and stabilizing stone, known primarily for its soothing energy. Its slower, steady vibration helps balance the Yin and Yang energies, encouraging calmness, security, and inner stability. It is often used to gently strengthen relationships, overcome negativity, and boost self-confidence, offering protection and promoting spiritual maturity.
