Kunzite is a lithium aluminium silicate mineral belonging to the Spodumene family. It is prized for its delicate colour, which ranges from pale pink and lilac to soft violet. This colour is often unstable and can fade if exposed to direct sunlight, requiring careful storage. Kunzite displays strong pleochroism (appearing different colours from various angles) and a beautiful vitreous lustre.
