Stichtite is a rare magnesium chromium carbonate mineral, typically found in massive, non-crystalline form. It is instantly recognised by its striking, vibrant pink-to-lilac or deep purple colour, often occurring embedded in green serpentine (this combination is known as Atlantisite). It possesses a soft, waxy, or pearly lustre. Due to its softness, it is typically cut into cabochons for jewellery and used for ornamental carvings and healing wands.
