Flower Agate is a variety of Chalcedony, a microcrystalline form of Quartz, found almost exclusively in Madagascar and first introduced to the crystal market around 2018. It is distinguished by its unique plume-like inclusions of opaque Chalcedony within a translucent to semi-opaque pink or peach base, which create stunning three-dimensional formations resembling blooming flowers, cherry blossoms, and botanical gardens frozen in stone. These floral inclusions form through the crystallisation of silica-rich fluids around pre-existing mineral deposits within the host rock, creating the characteristic petal-like shapes.
